Preparing for the migration

Within a migration, all data is kept in place; however, we strongly recommend to take a Cassandra backup before you start the migration. If database data is corrupted during a migration, you will have a chance to restore data instead of repeating initial installation of Web Services and Application.

Instructions for how to take a backup depends on which Cassandra version is in use. Choose one of the following procedures and use sipfs keyspace for this operation:
