Enable / Disable Voicemail Deposits

Installing Genesys SIP Feature Server Plugin for GAX 8.xxxxxx or higher adds the privilege/function Turn On/Off Voicemail Deposits for All Mailboxes to the GAX Server.

You can grant this privilege to a Role (which is itself assigned to users), or to an Access Group (to which users are assigned).

Use this privilege specify which users can use the selection Voicemail Enabled in the Genesys SIP Feature Server Plugin for GAX. Only administrators who have this privilege assigned can enable or disable voicemail for all users in the environment.

Note: The embedded administrator account default always has this right—it cannot be removed.

Assigning the enable/disable voicemail privilege

1. Open GAX Configuration.
2. Go to Home > Roles > Roles > New Properties and select Assigned Privileges.
3. Select the checkbox for Turn On/Off Voicemail Deposits for All Mailboxes.

In Feature Server versions 8.1.201.xx or lower...

• Voicemail Enabled is unavailable.
• There is no Edit button on the Settings page.
• Voicemail Enabled is available only in read only mode.
