Enable / Disable Voicemail Deposits

Installing Genesys SIP Feature Server Plugin for GAX 8.1.200.xx or higher adds the function/privilege Turn On/Off Voicemail Deposits for All Mailboxes to the GAX Server. It's a function visible only to users with the privilege.

You can grant this privilege to a Role (which is itself assigned to users), or to an Access Group (to which users are assigned).

If you have the privilege Turn On/Off Voicemail Deposits for All Mailboxes

Go to the Settings page for Feature Server, in Genesys SIP Feature Server Plugin for GAX. You'll see and be able to modify the selection Voicemail Enabled if you have the privilege.

Note: The embedded administrator account default always has this right—it cannot be removed.

If you have no privilege or Feature Server version 8.1.201.xx or lower

• There is no Edit button on the Settings page.
• Voicemail Enabled is available only in read-only mode.

Assigning the enable/disable voicemail privilege

1. Open GAX Configuration.
2. Go to Home > Roles > Roles > New Properties and select Assigned Privileges.
3. Select the checkbox for Turn On/Off Voicemail Deposits for All Mailboxes.
