Deploying the web application

Important

If you're deploying Web Services and Applications version 8.5.201.09 or earlier, complete the steps on Deploying the web application for 8.5.201.09 or earlier instead.

Complete the following steps for each Web Services node.

Start

Create a new folder on your Web Services node. For example, gws. This is the working folder for the web application.
Copy the gws.jar file from the installation CD to your new gws working folder.
Create the following configuration files in your working folder (you'll learn more about the settings in these files on the Configuring Web Services page):
- application.yaml — you can find an example of this file in installation_CD/config-templates
- elasticsearch.yml — you can find an example of this file in installation_CD/config-templates
- hystrix.properties — you can find an example of this file in installation_CD/config-templates
- logback.xml — you can find an example of this file in installation_CD/config-templates
- statistics.yaml — you can find an example of this file in installation_CD/config-templates
- routing-templates folder — you can copy this folder from installation_CD/routing-templates.
