Deploying the web application

Important

If you're deploying Web Services and Applications version 8.5.201.09 or earlier, complete the steps on Deploying the web application for 8.5.201.09 or earlier instead.

Complete the following steps for each Web Services node.

Start

1. Create a new folder on your Web Services node. For example, gws. This is the working folder for the web application.
2. Copy the gws.jar file from the installation CD to your new gws working folder.
3. Create the following configuration files in your working folder (you'll learn more about the settings in these files later):
   • application.yaml — you can find an example of this file in installation_CD/config-templates
   • elasticsearch.yml — you can find an example of this file in installation_CD/config-templates
   • hystrix.properties — you can find an example of this file in installation_CD/config-templates
   • logback.xml — you can find an example of this file in installation_CD/config-templates
   • statistics.yaml — you can find an example of this file in installation_CD/config-templates
4. Copy the routing-templates folder from installation_CD/routing-templates to your working folder.
