Preparing for your Web Services and Application migration

How do I preserve my data through the migration?

Your data data is kept in place during a migration, therefore, you don't need to perform any special action for keeping existing data. If you might need to rollback a migration in the future, we recommend to take a data snapshot of the Cassandra database to speedup the rollback procedure.

How do I preserve customization through the migration?

Migration between 8.5.1 and 8.5.2 includes a transition to embedded Jetty that, in turn, uses different configuration files. The GWS service is configured from scratch, therefore, tere is no automatic migration of customizations. Since a different configuration files are used in 8.5.2, existing customizations for 8.5.1 are maintained. We recommend that you make a backup of the existing configuration before perfoming a migration.
