R—Configuring for Outbound Contact Data

In order to store Outbound Contact data in IDB for reporting purposes, certain configuration settings are required in the Genesys Configuration Layer, both for certain Outbound-related configuration objects and for the ICON Application object.

For more information about Outbound Contact Server (OCS) data in Interaction Concentrator, see Integrating with Outbound Contact.

Outbound Contact Configuration

Special configuration of the items listed below is required in order to enable OCS to process and send data to ICON about the content of the fields in calling list records.

ICON Application

To enable ICON to receive OCS data and store it in IDB, you must configure ICON connections to appropriate data sources, and you must set relevant configuration options.

ICON takes OCS data from switches connected either to T-Server or to OCS. If your ICON Application object specifies one or more T-Servers on the Connections tab, ICON takes OCS data only from switches connected to the specified T-Server(s), even if there are also OCS instances listed on the Connections tab.

Important
For example, you have Switch1 and Switch2. T-Server1 is connected to Switch1. OCS2 is connected to Switch2. If you add T-Server1 and OCS2 to the ICON Application object Connections tab, ICON reads data only from Switch1. To have ICON take data from both switches, you can either replace OCS2 with a T-Server that is connected to Switch2, or you can replace T-Server1 with an OCS instance that is connected to Switch1. As long as there is any T-Server listed on the Connections tab, ICON only takes data from instances of T-Server.

Multi-Tenant Considerations

In multi-tenant environments, the OCS-related objects that the ICON instance monitors may be configured under various tenants. Ensure that you assign all related tenants to the ICON application.
