What's New
Use of external LDAP server

In this case, each user’s attributes will be obtained from Configuration Server, using the Genesys Web Services API. Only the Administrator and Agent roles are supported for this configuration based on the setting of the IsAgent flag in the user record in Configuration Server.
Localization
- Genesys Portal Landing Page is now localized in some languages (e.g. Canadian French). The display language for the Portal Landing Page and Service Status can be set by the user.

Use of a shadow LDAP server
- Support is now available to allow the configuration of two LDAP servers to be used for each tenant, one for authentication purposes and the other for retrieving user attributes. This allows the Genesys Portal components to properly support using an LDAP server located at your site.

What's New
Genesys Portal
- Genesys Portal is your landing page for Business Edition Cloud applications. Genesys Portal provides single sign-on access for improved usability and seamless transition across all Genesys Cloud applications.
Single Sign-On
- A user accessing the Genesys Portal services will do so through a single sign-on process. For example, if a user wishes to log into Agent Desktop and Platform Administration the user will sign in only once when accessing the first service and Genesys Portal will automatically sign the user into the other service. More services will be added to this single sign-on group of services in the future.
Password Management
- A web service is available to change a password and to reset a forgotten password.
Known Issues
- To log out of Genesys Portal and the applications that you logged into using SAML, you must log out of Portal and close the browser session where you logged in using SAML.
- The horizontal scroll bar and some links on the top bar do not display if the browser window is re-sized to a width narrower than 960 pixels. (GH-365)
- If you are using the Firefox browser, clicking "Back" on the Landing Page or the Change Password page takes you to a page that shows internal messaging between the Browser and the Web Server. (GH-240)
- The ApacheDS LDAP Server used in the SAML SSO environment supports locking out a user after a certain number of incorrect login attempts. However, it does not support unlocking the user after a configurable period has elapsed. (GH-174)
