DNS Server configuration
You must configure DNS Server for your cluster environment. If you are changing host names or IPs for your replicated environment, then A and SRV records will need to be modified in its list for cluster components to resolve addresses.
SIP Proxies are represented in the configuration environment as a single DN of type Voice over IP Service with the contact configured as FQDN. SIP Server resolves the FQDN through DNS (Domain Name System) to a list of IP addresses for each SIP Proxy that SIP Server communicates with.
Sample DNS configuration of SRV records of SIP Proxies:
- _sip._udp.sipproxy 86400 IN SRV 0 50 11000 host1.sipcluster.genesyslab.com
- _sip._udp.sipproxy 86400 IN SRV 0 50 11000 host2.sipcluster.genesyslab.com
Sample DNS configuration of A records of SIP Proxies:
- sipproxy 86400 IN A 138.120.85.1
- sipproxy 86400 IN A 138.120.85.2
