What's New

This release contains the following new features and enhancements:

Real-time voice quality indicator: The Genesys Softphone icon in the system taskbar now notifies agents of possible voice quality problems.
It is now possible to specify the Genesys Softphone diagnostic options through the HTTP connector when an agent logs in. This applies to the following options:
- enable_logging
- log_file
- log_level
- log_options_provider
- log_options_endpoint
- log_segment
- log_expire
- log_time_convert
- log_time_format

This release contains the following resolved issues:

In deployments where a Session Border Controller is used, the switch-over to another SIP Registrar has been improved for the following scenarios:

SIP registration times out
Any of the 408/480/486/500/503/504 error codes are returned from SBC, indicating a temporary failure

If Genesys Softphone cannot negotiate the RTP Payload using rfc2833, it now uses the InbandRTP DTMF method instead. (SOFTPHONE-398)

No special procedure is required to upgrade to release 9.0.001.01.
