Resolved Issues
This release contains the following resolved issues:
Audio files are now received as files (displayed as file icons) during Facebook interactions. Agents can click the file icon to open the audio file in a player of their choice. By default, the received audio files are not played automatically. Similarly, agents can preview video files without audio playback. Agents can click a video file and open the video in a player of their choice to enable the audio track. To know more about the required codecs, see Installing codecs. (SMD-6213)
WDE now displays the Delete button for Facebook private message interactions. (SMD-6257)
The issue that prevented WDE from displaying contents of a Twitter interaction is fixed. The issue occurred when there were multiple interactions with multiple attachments and the plugin's performance was impacted. (SMD-6370)
The plugin's memory usage is reduced for public and private Twitter interactions. The reduced memory usage is achieved by configuring the following new options (separate options for Twitter and TwitterDirect):
- twitter.disable-attachment-preloading = true
- twitterdirect.disable-attachment-preloading = true
When the value is true, attachments such as images, videos, and GIF files are not loaded in memory as they arrive. Instead, agents are required to click the attachments to preview them manually. When the value is false, the plugin loads all attachments in memory as they arrive and displays them as thumbnails automatically. (SMD-6348)
Upgrade Notes
You must upgrade the Cloud API Driver for Facebook and Cloud API Driver for Twitter to 9.0.011.06 if you upgrade Social Media Plugin for Workspace Desktop Edition to 9.0.011.08. This is required to ensure that the attachments feature works as expected.
